In this newly-created position, Tallon will work out of London under Ian McDonough, the executive VP for CEMA at BBC Worldwide. Tallon currently serves as BBC Worldwide's head of business and legal affairs for CEMA. She joined the company last year from Fox International Channels, where she was the head of legal for the U.K., France and Africa. Earlier in her career, she was the head of legal for Sky Sports.

McDonough remarked: "I'm very excited about Jay's appointment to this new role in the CEMA team. Her commercial, strategic and legal talents will combine perfectly to drive this fast growing market to new heights."

Tallon added: "I am delighted and feel fortunate to be offered this incredible role. I have had the pleasure of joining an exceptional team lead by Ian McDonough and Paul Dempsey [president of BBC Worldwide Global Markets]. CEMA is an area of growth and offers many exciting opportunities and challenges. I am looking forward to working with my colleagues and our business partners to grow our business in these regions."
