BBC Motion Gallery, Austria’s ORF Ink Content Agreement

LONDON, August 31: BBC Motion Gallery, BBC Worldwide’s clips
sales arm, has reached a deal to distribute a range of clips from Austrian
pubcaster ORF via its website.

BBC Motion Gallery will choose a selection of clips from
ORF's extensive archive dating back to 1950s to add to its library of 500
million feet of film and 60,000 hours of digitized video. ORF's archive footage
features Austrian regional beauty shots, historical, political and celebrity
highlights as well as lighter sporting and distinctly European culture
content.

BBC Motion Gallery already has existing international
representation deals in place with the CBS news archive, NHK’s HDTV archive
from Japan and the China Central TV archive.

Simon Gibbs, the managing director of BBC Motion Gallery at
BBC Worldwide, said: “This deal means that our archive covers an even broader
range of regionally relevant clips and stock footage. By adding Central
European clips, we can help media professionals to find the imagery they need
quickly, easily and cost effectively.”
