BBC Earth Programming Block Set for BBC Knowledge Rollout

LONDON: BBC Knowledge has slotted the new programming block BBC Earth to begin rolling out this March in Australia, with further launches planned for Asia, Africa, Scandinavia and a host of other territories.

The block will first make its debut on BBC Knowledge in Australia on March 4, launching with the landmark series Planet Earth. The block then heads to Asia for a March 31 with Planet Earth and Wild China. Poland receives the block on April 3 with Nature’s Great Events, before it heads to Africa and Scandinavia on May 8. BBC Earth programming will also be featured on BBC Knowledge in Italy and New Zealand as of March 2011. Further programming for the natural history block includes South Pacific, Galapagos, Life in the Undergrowth, Life in Cold Blood and Life of Mammals.
