Bavaria Media Reports MIPCOM Deals

MUNICH, October 19: Bavaria Media Television secured a range
of deals at MIPCOM last week, and signed on five co-production partners in
Eastern Europe for the new avalanche disaster TV movie Val Montana.

Partners on board include Nova TV from the Czech Republic,
RTL Klub in Hungary, Slovakia’s TV Markiza, TV Romana from Romania and IC- TV
from the Ukraine.

In addition, Pik & Amadeus and Wild Chicks sold to
SVT in Sweden, while YLE secured the rights to 13 episodes of Vienna
Crime Squad
. Bavaria also closed a range of package deals, including one
with ERT in Greece for five movies. Arab Radio and Television picked up 10
titles, while Iran’s QMIP opted for 20 TV movies. In Slovenia, Pop TV secured a
package from the current portfolio, including feature films Stalingrad and Amundsen The Penguin.
