Bavaria Media Preps MIPCOM Slate

MUNICH/CANNES, September 19: Bavaria Media will bring a full slate
of TV movies, series and films to this year’s MIPCOM, including a 90-minute
disaster movie.

White Menace—The
Avalanche of The Century
is a
high-budget disaster movie, starring international film stars Vincent Perez and
Desirée Nosbusch. A small village in the Alps is cut off from the outside world
after being hit by a devastating avalanche. People have to fight for survival,
overcoming the worst circumstances and situations. This German-French-Austrian
co-production was produced by Bavaria Film for Germany’s RTL, Austria’s ORF, France’s
TF1 and Poland’s TVN.

Serrallonga is a two-part adventure story from Catalonia about
a real-life 17th-century brigand and rebel. This program marks the 25th
anniversary of TV3 de Catalunya. Produced by Oberon Cinematogràfica, TV3 and
TVE, Serrallonga will be
introduced to international clients during a special event on October 13.

Set in Iceland, I Hunt
Men
is an HD two-part
crime-thriller about a special unit trying to catch a serial killer. Produced
by Reykjavik Films, directed by Björn B. Björnsson, the program is based on the
novel Daybreak by crime-writer
Viktor Arnar Ingolfsson.
