CANNES: Banijay International has firmed up its first commission on Respirator’s entertainment format Celebrity Stand-Up, with TV2 Networks in Denmark to air the show as 24 stripped episodes.

The format plays on people’s fear of public speaking by recruiting reluctant celebrities to write and perform a stand-up act in five days. Each week the stars battle head to head on stage to be named the funniest star in the country. The celebrities will be mentored by a well-knownA stand-up comedian coach.
