PARIS: Banijay International has sold seasons one and two of the U.K. version of its format 71 Degrees North to six new territories.

The series has sold back to its primary broadcaster TV Norge in Norway with the finished show heading to Channel 10 Australia, TVNZ New Zealand, Sic in Portugal, TV5 in Finland and Evasion in Quebec, Canada. Format and finished sales for the show are handled by Banijay International. The U.K. version is produced by Fever Media. 71 Degrees North was developed by Nordisk Film TV Norway, a Banijay Group company.

The reality series combines nature, competition and challenges of completing a 2000 km journey on snow, ice and water. Two teams travel from the south of Norway to Nordcap in harsh conditions.

Karoline Spodsberg, the managing director of Banijay International, said, “71 Degrees North has become a real gem in our expanding portfolio of finished shows. Both U.K. versions show the tough competition in the compelling raw and demonstrate the strength of this dynamic piece of reality television.”
