AXN SCI-FI Expands Russian Footprint

LONDON/MOSCOW,
December 2: Sony Pictures Television International's (SPTI) AXN SCI-FI channel,
which launched in Russia earlier this year, is now available to more than two
million households across the CIS through new agreements with NTV Plus and IPTV
provider Stream.

AXN
SCI-FI, aimed at 12- to 49-year-olds, airs hit series such as Lost, Heroes, the Stargate franchise,
Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Smallville and Supernatural. Since launching in December
2007, AXN SCI-FI has secured carriage with multiple operators throughout
Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Ross Hair, the executive VP of
international networks for SPTI, said: "AXN
SCI-FI continues to gain momentum in Russia and the CIS countries, important
new markets for our expanding channels portfolio. We remain committed to
providing the best in sci-fi entertainment to audiences in the region and
although this is still early days for us here, we are delighted with the
support we have received from operators and viewers so far."
