Australian Distributor Inks Supply Deal with LAPTV

NEWTOWN, February 14:
Australian distributor Short Attention will deliver a monthly selection from
its short-film library for use on Latin American broadcaster LAPTV’s movie
channels.

Additionally, the
companies will work together to create an Internet component to the offer,
expanding beyond the television audience.

"The quality and
variety of films offered by Short Attention convinced us that it would be a
good idea to give short films a try in our programming grid,” said Richard
Rohrbach, the VP of programming and acquisitions at LAPTV. “These films will
certainly increase the value of our programming offer and will appeal to an
audience that demands more than just films from Hollywood."

Short Attention’s manager,
Tony Martin, added, “The varying run times, high production quality and
engaging story lines give broadcasters flexibility and added value to there
schedule via a short film package.”
