SYDNEY: Australia Network, available across the Asia-Pacific region, has acquired a total of 337 hours of programming from Endemol Worldwide Distribution, including the soap hit Home and Away.

The deal includes seasons 21 and 22 of Home and Away, seasons one and two of Packed to the Rafters, Rescue Special Operations and Tangle, the first season of Rush and Spirited.

The network’s head of programming, Rod Webb, said in announcing the deal, “We at Australia Network have enjoyed an enviable relationship with Southern Star since our inception in 2001, when we licensed the cop drama series Blue Heelers. They became our major Australian supplier when we rejuvenated and increased our drama output in the ensuing years, and they’ve retained that distinction ever since. This new deal with Endemol reflects the strength and quality of the revival of the Australian drama production industry, and will enhance our ability to provide a window on Australian culture to our Asian and Pacific neighbors.”
