Attention Span Media, Hulu in New Content Partnership

LOS ANGELES, June 3:
Attention Span Media (ASM), a Los Angeles-based multiplatform production
outfit, has signed a deal to provide a large selection of TV shows, movies and
clips to the online video service Hulu, a joint venture between News
Corporation and NBC Universal.

The partnership marks a
three-year non-exclusive deal, featuring season one of ASM’s Dorm Life and SockTube Presents, which began on May 30. Dorm Life is a multiplatform entertainment series of 20
five-minute episodes that follows the lives of ten fictional college students
who are thrown together to reside on the same dorm floor. In addition to watching the episodes,
viewers who visit www.dorm-life.com will find an integrated site with multiple
types of content released daily, including webcam vignettes and special photo
and video features that give viewers additional insight into the characters.
The site, which mimics a corkboard in a college dorm, invites viewers to access
different content areas via various items like “sticky notes” and thumb-tacked
flyers. Visitors can create profiles, meet and contact the characters, interact
on discussion boards, uncover hidden surprises, experience new bands and music
and participate in college dorm-themed contests.

SockTube Presents, located at www.socktubepresents.com, is an
ongoing parody series that targets films, TV, politics and pop culture. Each
piece pokes fun at these topics via sock-puppet theatre.

ASM is one of the first
independent studios to be featured on Hulu.com, joining existing partners NBC,
FOX, Bravo and E! Entertainment, among others.

“This is a very exciting
step for us and we are honored to be a part of the Hulu family,” said Peter
White, the co-founder and CEO of Attention Span Media. “With this partnership,
we are able to continue the ASM mission to provide quality laugh-out-loud
online content to additional viewers across the board. Dorm Life and SockTube Presents offer just that.”
