AT&T Signs Up for MediaFLO Mobile TV

SAN DIEGO, February 13: AT&T’s Cingular unit will offer
its subscribers the new mobile TV service from QUALCOMM Incorporated’s MediaFLO
USA, which has already signed a deal to roll out on the Verizon Wireless
platform.

Cingular and MediaFLO expect to make the service available
to customers late this year. Verizon will be launching its MediaFLO service,
named V CAST Mobile TV, next month. MediaFLO has content deals in place with
CBS Corporation for news, late-night fare, drama and reality series, sports
content and library classics; Fox Mobile Entertainment and Fox Interactive
Media for prime-time dramas, news and sports content; MTV Networks for a raft
of offerings from its stable of channels; NBC Universal for news and
entertainment titles; and ESPN for a 24-hour channel delivering live
simulcasts, breaking news, commentary and more.

“MediaFLO USA's service will add another dimension to our
robust offering by delivering a TV-quality mobile media experience that
perfectly complements our existing voice and multimedia services," said
Marc Lefar, the chief marketing officer for AT&T's wireless unit. "We
look forward to bringing our subscribers a compelling, differentiated service
and the innovative devices for which AT&T is known.”
