LONDON: In the run-up to next month’s Asia Television Forum (ATF), Cineflix International Distribution has scored a slew of sales across the region.

Frantic Films’ The Opener was picked up by Real Global Broadcasting in India. Discovery India went for UberGuide and Human Prey. The Mayday franchise is headed to Japan. Mayday: Lockerbie went to Nippon TV for broadcast on its family show World’s Great TV. Japan’s Formulation TV bought Mayday: Attack Over Baghdad for TV Asahi. Further Asian deals included Korea’s HomeStory TV taking the renovation-rescue show House Poor and green series Eco House. Plus Media Partner bagged Campus PD and Pitchin’ In for Channel View and Food TV, respectively.

Chris Bluett, a regional sales manager at Cineflix who brokered the deals, commented: “Asia is proving to be a very competitive market for Cineflix International. Thanks to rise in thematic channels launching around the region, the need for factual and factual entertainment is higher than ever. Our ever-growing catalogue allows us to cater to these new channels, as well as providing quality content to key networks.”
