Armoza Formats’ The Common Denominator to Premiere in Turkey

TEL AVIV: The Armoza Formats game show The Common Denominator is to premiere on Star TV in Turkey tonight.

Star TV has ordered 13 45-minute episodes for a bi-weekly broadcast of The Common Denominator, known as Bul Bakalim in the country and produced by 7 Film. Turkish actor Emre Karavel is the host.

Show contestants are asked to discover what two seemingly unlikely things have in common. (What does a Hilton hotel have in common with the Eiffel Tower? Paris.)

In Spain, the format pilot (Denominador Commun) is launching tomorrow at Spain’s TV Festival in Vitoria. The format was also a recent finalist in the Banff World Media Festival Pilot Competition for Best Entertainment Show.

Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats, said, "We’re thrilled to realize our first broadcast deal on this format, which puts a clever and innovative twist on the typical game show. Right now we are observing a global need for daily stripped quiz shows, and The Common Denominator‘s clear and addictive game play, and its unique question-and-answer format, distinguishes it in the format market."
