Apparent Gravity Grows Distribution Team

SUMMIT: Apparent Gravity Media, a producer and distributor of extreme-sports and youth-culture lifestyle content, has made two new additions to its team, increasing the company’s distribution presence in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Based in London, Nicolas Bonard and Courtney Williams join Apparent Gravity to oversee sales and distribution activities throughout EMEA. Bonard previously served as VP of sales and co-productions for MTV Networks International, where he managed the sales division’s international syndication efforts for Viacom. While working for the NBA, he directed the league’s sales and licensing extensive efforts across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In addition, Bonard is a founder of Screen Opus, a film and television distribution and financing company based in London. Williams’ experience includes serving as VP of international sales and marketing for the MGM Networks Group, where he licensed branded channels throughout EMEA. Prior to his five-year run with MGM, Williams served in several positions at Nickelodeon, including as director of new-media ventures. Williams is also a founder of Screen Opus.

The new appointments follow on the company’s recent appointment of industry veteran Andy Scott, who is responsible for sales, marketing and licensing of the Apparent Gravity events and series throughout the Asia/Australasia territories.

"We are thrilled to have the combined experience and talents of these two executives working with Apparent Gravity," said George Krieger, Apparent Gravity Media’s president. "Both Nicolas and Courtney are accomplished executives with a strong understanding of general entertainment for the youth market as well as sports. Their extensive experience throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa is certain to make a valuable contribution to the company as we continue to expand our business globally."
