Corus Posts Q3 Gains

TORONTO, July 10: Third quarter revenues at Corus
Entertainment rose 9 percent to C$197.6 million, delivering a net profit of
C$29.6 million, up from last year’s C$23.2 million.

"We enjoyed another solid quarter with strong ad sales
in radio and television," said John Cassaday, the president and CEO of
Corus Entertainment. "Our program investments at W Network and Movie
Central are driving growth in these key brands and our focus on attracting and
retaining strong local talent for our radio properties resulted in another
strong ratings performance in the most recent industry survey. We continue to
feel we are well positioned to capitalize on Canada's continued strong economic
growth."

Corus Television contributed quarterly revenues of C$109.2
million, up 9 percent thanks to continued specialty advertising growth of 12
percent and subscriber revenue growth of 7 percent. Quarterly segment profit
increased to C$45.6 million, up 9 percent from Q3 last year.

Corus Radio revenues were C$74.8 million, up 4 percent, and
segment profit rose 15 percent to C$24.2 million.

Corus Content revenues were C$14.6 million, up 34 percent,
but profit dropped from C$500,000 to C$100,000.
