ALL3MEDIA Scores Sales on Bondi Rescue

LONDON: The fourth season of Bondi Rescue has been sold by ALL3MEDIA International to broadcasters in Scandinavia, Europe and the U.K.

Originally produced for Network Ten in Australia, the series has exclusive access to the lifeguards of Bondi Beach. The first three seasons have been airing on National Geographic channels, as well as on NRK Norway, SKY in New Zealand, TV2 in Denmark, TV4 in Sweden, VTM in Belgium and Zone Reality in the U.K. The new fourth season has been picked up in Norway, New Zealand, the U.K., Denmark and Sweden, with new broadcaster Sogecable in Spain and Portugal signing on as well. The fourth season of the Cordell Jigsaw production will feature 45 new half-hour episodes.

ALL3MEDIA International’s managing director, Louise Pedersen, said: “Bondi Rescue is a fantastically commercial show with great production values and a great cast of real life characters. We are delighted to be representing it and are really pleased with its success internationally. We look forward to closing more deals shortly.”

Cordell Jigsaw’s executive producer, Michael Cordell, added: “We love making Bondi Rescue. It’s a celebration of Australia’s unique beach culture and a celebration of the dedicated men who keep Bondi safe. But it’s not just about high-octane drama, we also strive to capture all the eccentricities of Bondi and the laconic character of the lifeguards themselves. Audiences have responded to the show’s humor, it’s freshness and the fact we keep it very real. We’re very proud of it.”
