Alfred Haber Picks Up Global Rights to Sports Special

HARRINGTON PARK, April 28:
Alfred Haber Distribution, Inc. (AHDI) has acquired the international rights to
the one-hour basketball-themed television special
Harlem Globetrotters: A New Generation.

Produced by Arthur Smith
& Co. (FOX’s Hell’s Kitchen),
Harlem Globetrotters: A New Generation was one of the highest-rated specials in the history of MyNetworkTV
when it aired in January 2008. The
special features all the trademark Globetrotter antics on display, plus new basketball
talent, tricks and new stars,
including Kevin “Special K” Daley and Paul “Showtime” Gaffney. This game also marks the return of the
Globetrotters’ nemesis, the Washington Generals, in their first appearance in
12 years.

The special also marks the
Harlem Globetrotters’ first television network appearance
in 14 years, with an introduction by Academy Award-winner Louis Gossett Jr.,
and looks back on some of the greatest moments in the Globetrotters’ eight
decades of entertaining audiences around the world.

“The Harlem Globetrotters,
celebrating their 82nd consecutive year of touring the world, have played in
118 countries on six continents, entertaining over 125 million fans and
crossing barriers between cultures, societies and people from all walks of
life,” commented Robert Kennedy, the executive VP of worldwide sales at AHDI.
“Their name says it all, Globe-trotters. We are honored to be introducing our
international viewers to this newest team of Harlem Globetrotters as they carry
on their legendary brand of sports entertainment.”
