WASHINGTON D.C.: The former U.S. secretary of defense Donald Rumsfeld has agreed to be interviewed on Al Jazeera’s English-language channel for the first time, setting aside his long-standing feud with the broadcaster.

Rumsfeld is to appear on tonight’s edition of Frost Over the World, sitting down with Sir David Frost. He is set to discuss his changed opinion of Al Jazeera, which he once famously described as "vicious, inaccurate and inexcusable." He will also share his views on U.S. foreign policy, religions extremism, the controversial Guantanamo Bay prison facility and Vladimir Putin’s leadership.

The special interview with Rumsfeld on Frost Over the World airs tonight on Al Jazeera English at 9 p.m.
