AFM Unveils Schedule of Seminars, Conferences

LOS ANGELES, October 22:
This year’s American Film Market, taking place November 7 to 11 in Santa
Monica, will feature a slate of sessions on issues of importance to the
independent sector, including film financing, distribution, production
incentives and utilizing new technologies.

Presented by Akin Gump
Strauss Hauer & Feld and KPMG, a total of 14 sessions will be held at this
year’s market. The agenda kicks off November 7 at with the AFM Finance
Conference, while other key sessions include Pitch Me! on November 8, Web
Entrepreneurs: Imagination Meets Commerce and Through Rose (and Aqua) Colored
Glasses: The Future of 3D on November 10 and Getting Your Film Seen on November
11.

The seminars and
conferences are being programmed by the Independent Film & Television
Alliance (IFTA), the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the Directors
Guild of America, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Women in Film and
the Writers Guild of America West, among other organizations.
