AETN Shuffles Programming Team

NEW YORK: A&E Television Networks (AETN) has placed new programming heads for its three flagship brands, with Rob Sharenow leading Lifetime, David McKillop in charge of A&E and Dirk Hoogstra responsible for HISTORY.

Sharebow has been serving as senior VP of programming for A&E. He is now the executive VP of programming for Lifetime brands.

McKillop was the senior VP of development and programming for HISTORY. He now steps into the role of executive VP of programming for the A&E brands.

Hoogstra has been with HISTORY, but as VP of development and programming. He is now the senior VP of programming for the HISTORY brands.

Sharenow and Hoogstra will report to Nancy Dubuc, the president of Lifetime and HISTORY, while McKillop will now report to Bob DeBitetto, the president of A&E Network and Bio.

DeBitetto and Dubuc said in a joint statement: “These three executives exemplify the incredible bench strength we have within AETN. Over the last three years, each of them has played a key role in the double digit growth of our portfolio of brands. We are confident that they will soar in their respective new roles at Lifetime, A&E and HISTORY, leading some of the most creative teams working in media.”
