AETN Lines Up New Programming for MIPCOM Debuts

NEW YORK: AETN International has more than 500 hours of new programming to present to MIPCOM buyers, including its first-ever competition series and 3D content.

Programming highlights include IRT Deadliest Roads, which features the toughest drivers from the global hit series Ice Road Truckers; Top Shot, a competition series about amazing feats in sharp-shooting; and Pawn Stars, returning for a third season. Coming from the Biography strand is Mel Gibson: The Rise and Fall of a Hollywood Icon, spotlighting the star who was once considered Hollywood royalty.

Also debuting at MIPCOM is the documentary film The Tillman Story, which is currently in release in the U.S. by The Weinstein Company. A further highlights is AETN’s first 3D program, the season five premiere episode of The Universe, titled 7 Wonders of the Solar System. The episode is also available in 2D. AETN is celebrating the 100th episode of the real-life celebrity series Gene Simmons Family Jewels at MIPCOM as well. To mark the anniversary, Simmons and his partner Shannon Tweed will attend the market.
