AETN International Launches Global Broadband Player

NEW YORK, September 25: AETN International has announced
plans to launch a new global on-demand broadband video player for The History
Channel, The Biography Channel and Crime & Investigation Network outside of
the U.S.

The video broadband player launched in Germany, Austria, and
Switzerland on September 20, with localized versions of the player available
for The History Channel, located at www.video.thehistorychannel.de and The
Biography Channel, located at www.video.biographychannel.de. AETN and its
partners will launch additional players in Europe, Asia and Latin America later
this year and early next year.

The broadband player will offer content on a video-on-demand
basis, with a mix of free short-form and paid long-form content. Offerings will
include localized programming and will feature exclusive broadband content.
Content available on the video player in German-speaking Europe includes Modern
Marvels, Digging for the Truth, Deep Sea Detectives
and Hippies from The
History Channel, and Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Biography: Angelina
Jolie
and Biography: Bob Dylan from The Biography Channel.

milestones this year, including the roll-out of VOD services in Europe and
Asia, a new WAP mobile service for The History Channel, and now the launch of
the broadband player,” said Sean Cohan, the senior VP of international for
AETN. “The player is a significant addition to our suite of services, allowing
us to reach new viewers and to offer existing viewers additional opportunities
to interact with our brands and content.”
