ABC Slates Scrubs, Better Off Ted for December Premieres

BURBANK: The hit half-hour comedy Scrubs heads into its ninth season on December 1 on ABC, while Better Off Ted will debut its sophomore run on December 8. 

Scrubs, which launches with back-to-back episodes at 9 p.m., focuses on Dr. John "J.D." Dorian. He is returning to Sacred Heart to teach med school after having left the hospital temporarily for a job at a different facility. The series stars Zach Braff, alongside Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, John McGinley, Ken Jenkins and Eliza Coupe. 

The satirical office comedy Better Off Ted, which will air at 9:30 p.m., is about good guy Ted Crisp who runs research and development at a company with a morally questionable approach to its employees. Ted’s a single dad with a 7-year-old girl, and though he loves his job he is now starting to take a closer look at the company’s dubious practices. The show stars Jay Harrington, Portia de Rossi, Andrea Anders, Jonathan Slavin and Isabella Acres.
