ABC Sets Series Finale for All My Children

BURBANK: The iconic daytime series All My Children is to end its run after 41 years on air with a final episode on September 23 on ABC.

The final episodes of the long-running show will celebrate the stories of the families that have been presented throughout the show’s legacy. Guest actors such as Josh Duhamel (Leo Du Pres), Eva La Rue (Maria Santos), Thorsten Kaye (Zach Slater), Carol Burnett (Verla Grubbs), Kate Collins (Janet Green), Jennifer Bassey (Marion Chandler), Melissa Claire Egan (Annie Chandler), Leven Rambin (Lily Montgomery) and others are set to return to pay homage to the show.

All My Children debuted on ABC on January 5, 1970. The show has amassed more than 30 Daytime Emmy Awards over the past four decades, recently garnering a total of 13 nominations for the 2011 Daytime Emmys.
