ABC Preps New Athletic Competition Series

LOS ANGELES, January 8:
ABC and Juma Entertainment have begun casting for a new alternative series, Superstars, which pairs eight celebrities with eight
professional male and female athletes to compete against each other in various
sporting events.

The series is based on
ABC's classic "Wide World of Sports" series The Superstars, which saw athletes from all different sports
compete against each other to determine the best athlete in the world. The new
six-episode series will feature events such as swimming, biking, running and
kayaking, in addition to other head-to-head athletic challenges. Each week a
team will be eliminated until one team is ultimately crowned the winner.

Superstars is produced by Juma Entertainment and Blue
Entertainment Sports Television (BEST). Robert Horowitz, the president of Juma
Entertainment, and Michael Principe the managing director of BEST, are the
executive producers.
