ABC Picks Up Prime-Time Reality Shows from Oprah Winfrey

LOS ANGELES, December 18: Talk show host Oprah Winfrey is
venturing into reality television with two prime-time series for ABC to be
produced by her production entity, Harpo Productions.

The first new series, tentatively titled Oprah Winfrey's
The Big Give, presents 10 people with large
sums of money and other resources and challenges them to find ways to give to
others. The series will air over an eight-week run. A second Winfrey-produced
show, whose working title is Your Money or Your Life, will
dispatch an expert team each week to help a family overcome a crisis through a
total money and life makeover. No time frame has been set for these two reality
shows.
