ABC Picks Up Dick de Rijk Game Show

MUNICH: The game show format You Deserve It, from Dick de Rijk, the man behind the hit Deal or No Deal, has been picked up by ABC in the U.S. through a deal signed by SevenOne International. 

The show comes from a partnership between de Rijk and Red Arrow Entertainment Group. Kinetic Content, Red Arrow’s U.S. production company, is producing the show for ABC. The game show is set up so that the contestant is not playing for himself, but rather on the behalf of a deserving individual. In the emotional episodes, contestants have to recommend the beneficiary for whom they want to play. This person does not know about the potential winnings, until they are surprised with the winnings during the finale with a big check. In order to win money, contestants must go through ten questions, each offering ten clues. Each clue costs money.
