Where’s Wally? Gets Australian, NZ Rep

LONDON: A new two-year deal sees Stella Projects acting as a broker for the property Where’s Wally? in Australia and New Zealand, bringing potential licensing partners into negotiation with Classic Media.

Stella Projects will also look to secure distribution deals for Where’s Wally? consumer products for current licensees and will seek out new retail opportunities in the territory. Stella will be responsible for targeting strategic third-party promotional partners and will co-ordinate strategic marketing activities for the brand, with a particular focus on the digital space.

Where’s Wally? is a global publishing property with more than 46 million books sold worldwide and 2.6 million-plus sold in Australia and New Zealand, where Walker Australia acts as master publishing partner.

Camilla Shestopal, the international licensing manager for Classic Media, commented: “We are excited to build upon Where’s Wally?’s existing success in the Australian market. Stella Projects, and in particular Grahame Grassby, has a wealth of knowledge in this arena and is incredibly well placed to develop and drive the brand forward. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”

Grahame Grassby, the director of Stella Projects, added: “We are delighted to be working with a global pop culture icon such as Where’s Wally? The brand already has a wealth of recognition in the Australian market from which to build and we are thrilled to be a part of the global team.”
