New U.K. Home for House

LONDON: Sky1 has scored the first-run British rights to the hit medical drama House from NBC Universal International Television Distribution, after the first four seasons aired on terrestrial broadcaster Five.

House will continue its second run in the U.K. on Hallmark, where it has been airing since 2005. The fifth season of the Hugh Laurie drama is slated to roll out on Sky1 and Sky1 HD this summer. “I’m delighted to be bringing House to Sky1," said Sophie Turner Laing, the managing director of entertainment at BSkyB. "The series has long entertained fans with its highly original take on a medical procedural drama and wry humor. Consistently excellent with a wonderful cast, House is the perfect addition to the channel that delivers the very best U.S. drama to our customers.”
