Armoza, RDF Ink Format Deal

MEVASSERT ZION: Pangea Studios, the scripted arm of RDF Media USA, has taken on the North American rights for Armoza Formats’ scripted comedy The Saddest Sketch Show in the World.

The show, which is heading into its second season on Israel’s Channel 10, features a team of five comedians who perform sketches on various subjects that are considered taboo. The format was recently nominated for a Rose D’or Award. The Israeli version was produced by Matar Universal.

"The Saddest Sketch Show is one of the darkest comedy shows I’ve ever seen and thus it shines like a bright light in its genre," said Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats. "It’s original, sophisticated and daring. I am proud to represent and thrilled that RDF will bring it to the U.S."

"Audacious and brazen, the show infuses comedy into the most taboo of subjects," added Karrie Wolfe, the senior VP of RDF USA and Pangea. "What makes this format different is that the humor transcends all cultures."
