Tandem Preps Patricia Cornwell Adaptations

MUNICH: Tandem Communications has inked a deal to co-produce and distribute worldwide two TV movies for Lifetime Television based on novels by bestselling author Patricia Cornwell.

At Risk and The Front, published by G.P. Putnam’s Sons, are the first-ever Cornwell novels to be produced for TV. The titles will be produced by Stanley M. Brooks (Broken Trail, The Capture of The Green River Killer). Both focus on investigative officer Winston Garano, who is billed as "extremely intelligent, headstrong, absolutely incorruptible and drop-dead gorgeous."

“We are thrilled to be collaborating with Stan Brooks and Lifetime on these prestigious Patricia Cornwell projects,” says Rola Bauer, Tandem’s managing director. “Cornwell is a brand—a brand with a built-in audience. She is the leader in her genre and her stories are powerful, inventive and original. Her books have very broad appeal with both men and women among a wide demographic and we are looking forward to seeing these stories bring those readers to television screens around the world.”

Cornwell has written 27 international bestselling novels, published in 33 countries and in 32 languages.
