MediaCorp Consolidates Online, Mobile Businesses

SINGAPORE, January 5:
MediaCorp's newly formed Interactive Media Division (IMD) will combine the online
and mobile resources of the group's TV, radio, print, news and technologies
divisions, in an effort to bolster the company's new-media activities.

The IMD will run as a
separate business from the current two business divisions, television and
news/radio/print. Shaun Seow, MediaCorp's deputy CEO for news, radio and print,
will oversee the new division, in addition to his responsibilities at the
news/radio/print cluster. Steven Chan joins Seow as the division's senior VP.
Prior to joining MediaCorp, Chan was an executive director at Asia Mobility
Initiative (AMI) Alliance.

Chan said: "I am very
excited to join MediaCorp at a time where the online and mobile platforms are
becoming increasingly important and integral to business strategies. I look
forward to combining my telco/new-media experience with the multimedia
platforms of MediaCorp to create winning solutions for our customers, partners
and stakeholders."
