Korean/Australian/Malay Co-Pro Signed at ATF

SINGAPORE, December 11: A co-production deal for the preschool
series Charlie Gribble and the Magic Maps
was signed at the ATF in Singapore, bringing together Korea's Pixtrend and Neon
Pumpkin, Australia's Crewjo and Malaysia's Backbone.

The 2-D comedy fantasy adventure, consisting of 52 11-minute
episodes, targets children aged 3 to 6. It was developed by Crewjo in
Australia, which pitched the idea as a mobile series to Korea's Pixtrend. The
concept was expanded into a full TV series, and Crewjo and Korean animation
outfit Neon Pumpkin began development on the show in January 2008. Pixtrend,
which is representing the series worldwide, began pitching the show at MIPCOM,
and signed up Malaysia's Backbone as a co-production partner here at the ATF.
Final character designs and story lines are expected to be complete by the
spring, with production due to begin in May. Delivery is expected for fall
2010.

The show tells the adventures of a young boy, from a family of
mapmakers, who is transported on magical adventures around the world.
