Little Britain USA Scores Second-Season Order

LONDON, December 2: Little Britain USA, a take-off from the hit BBC series, has been
commissioned for a second season, despite
claims that Americans found the show to be "too rude."

Set
in contemporary America, the show features familiar characters from the British
version, Little Britain, in sketches
in addition to new characters, all performed by Matt Lucas and David Walliams.
The first season featured celebrity appearances by Rosie O'Donnell and Sting,
and Friends star David Schwimmer
directed a
studio-based segment of the show.

The rights to the Little Britain USA brand are held by
PPC Enterprises, the commercial division of the Picture Production Company
Group, which also holds the rights to Little Britain Classics, the established
characters we all know and love.

Mark Hurry, the legal and commercial director at PPC
Enterprises, said: "Little Britain
USA
has been a huge hit and has added to the value of what is already a
fantastic brand. Little Britain has
gone truly global and as well as renewing licensing agreements with existing
partners, we expect to be announcing new deals across the board in the near
future."
