AMF Highlights Singapore-China Media Alliances

SINGAPORE, November 18:
The Asia Media Festival (AMF), a range of events taking place this December,
led by the flagship Asia TV Forum, will put a spotlight on collaborations
between Singaporean and Chinese content companies.

The two countries signed
several Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) last year, including one between the
Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) and China's State Administration
for Radio, Film and Television (SARFT).

Highlights of this year's
AMF, set for December 9 to 12, will include the China Film Festival,
co-organized by SARFT and the MDA. The China Film Festival 2008 will be opened
to the public from December 10 at Golden Village cinemas. The week-long
festival will feature a total of six films. In addition, China, represented by
SARFT and CCTV, has been selected to participate in the MDA's AMF 2008 Country
Showcase. The networking event will feature representatives from markets that
the MDA has co-production alliances with, including Australia, Canada and
China.

In addition, Singapore
will play host to the ASEAN-China meeting to discuss possible areas for media.
