BBC Worldwide Americas Notches Up Latin Sales

NEW YORK, November 12:
Since presenting Seven Ages of Rock to
buyers at the BBC Showcase Latin America in September, BBC Worldwide Americas
has notched up a string of sales for the music-focused series in Brazil,
Paraguay and Chile, among others.

Globo in Brazil,
Hispanoamerica TV in Paraguay, TVN in Chile, TNU in Uruguay and Canal 11 in
Mexico have all acquired the series, bringing the total global sales for Seven Ages of Rock to 41 broadcasters.
The 7×50-minute series features interviews and rare performance archive
footage, charting the story of the music that has defined popular culture since
the '60s. The show features contributions from a range of rock musicians,
including The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The Sex Pistols, Black
Sabbath, U2, The Smiths and Oasis.

Susanna Pollack, the senior
VP of TV sales, co-productions and children's for BBC Worldwide Americas, said,
"Seven Ages of Rock has struck a
real chord in Latin America, which is evident in the number of sales we've
already secured. This year was the first time we presented music programming at
BBC Showcase Latin America and I'm delighted that the new content was so well
received."
