Bebo Ramps Up Original Content

LONDON, October 17: Social networking site Bebo has
announced plans for a minimum of six original productions for 2009, building on
the success of KateModern and Sofia’s
Diary
.

Expanding beyond drama, Bebo is planning to commission a
range of entertainment, reality and comedy titles. The commissions will fall
under the banner of Bebo Originals. The site will also take third-party
properties, such as Meet the Freshers,
set to air in December. In addition, Bebo will pick up content produced for
traditional broadcast, such as Fonejacker and Top Gear.

Bebo has a membership of more than 45 million individuals
worldwide and is geared towards an audience aged under 30.
