Fitz Roy in Development Deal for British Girls’ Property

NEW YORK, October 2: Fitz
Roy Media has teamed up with U.K.-based Blonde Pilot to develop worldwide DVD,
licensing and merchandising campaigns around Secret Wings, the British girl-skewing brand of stationery and
back-to-school products.

Fitz Roy will create
entertainment projects and interactive web content, along with a worldwide
licensing and merchandising campaign, for an extensive line of products aimed
at girls 4 to 7.

The two companies are
already in development on a 4×11-minute animated series, set for release on DVD
in winter 2010, as well as two new Secret Wings chapter books. Additional licensing agents have
been named for Germany, Greece, the Middle East, Benelux, Korea, China, Taiwan
and Southeast Asia, with agents to be announced for France, Spain/Portugal,
Italy and Scandinavia.

Secret Wings was an almost instant hit at retail in the U.K. and
has proven its legs among a trendy and fickle demographic of young girls,” said
Fitz Roy Media’s CEO, Hamp Hampton. “We look forward to investing in the
property’s universal appeal and anticipate long-term success for the brand.”

“With the backing of Fitz
Roy Media combined with the proven success of Secret Wings at retail we are confident this colorful and
popular brand is set to fly even higher,” said Howard Davies, the managing
director of Blonde Pilot.
