Peace Arch Scores Deals at Cannes Film Festival

CANNES, May 21: Peace Arch
Entertainment Group has completed licensing agreements for 31 motion pictures
and TV series at the Cannes Film Festival.

New licensing agreements
include the romantic comedy The Deal, starring William H. Macy and Meg Ryan, to Scanbox for Scandinavia,
Videovision Entertainment for South Africa, Wooriful Venture Capital for South
Korea and Myndform for Iceland. The drama Winged Creatures, which stars Forest Whitaker, Kate Beckinsale,
Dakota Fanning and Jennifer Hudson, was licensed by VR Films & Studios for
India and Myndform for Iceland, while Chapter 27 went to Tandem for Bulgaria. The sports drama Goal

was licensed to Videovision for
South Africa, Film Media for Poland and Alliance for Singapore. The
Babysitters
, a dark comedy
starring John Leguizamo, was also licensed to Alliance for Singapore and
Videovision for South Africa, as well as Tandem for Bulgaria.

Additional deals include Shred, Devil’s Mercy, Time Bomb, Final Draft and Passion’s
Web
to Lusomondo for Portugal; DVD
rights to Guns to Klockworx for
Japan; All the Good Ones Are Married and Our Fathers to Red
Ant for Australia; Guantanamero to
EIC-Lime-Light for Benelux; All the Good Ones Are Married, Ultimate Killing Machine, Never Forget and Passion’s Web to
Videoconcept for CIS; and Ace of Hearts and The Four Horsemen to
Film Media for Poland.

Meanwhile, BS Filmcilik
licensed Never Cry Werewolf for
Turkey, while ITV took on Shred 2 for
Central Europe. Guns, Just
Business
, Ace of Hearts, Animal 2, Luna: Spirit of The Whale and The Last Hit Man were
licensed to Tandem for Bulgaria. Bowline picked up Watching the Detectives for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Shred and Shred 2, The Cradle, Devil’s
Mercy
, Final Draft and Just Business went to Hollywood Entertainment for Greece, with a
seven-title package going to Horizon for Turkey, including four war
dramas—The Four Horsemen,
The Veteran, American
Soldiers
and Time Bomb.
