Detective Conan Film Heads to Korea

TOKYO, May 5: Japan’s TMS
Entertainment has released its animated theatrical film Phantom of Baker
Street
, based on the Detective
Conan
TV series, in Korea.

This is the first-ever
theatrical animation film release for the Detective Conan series in Korea, with the film to be shown on 25
Lotte Cinema screens, the largest theater chain in Korea, and distributed by
ONMEDIA. The film will be voiced by the same actors featured in the TV series.

When it was released in
Japan in 2002, Detective Conan’s Phantom of Baker Street achieved total box-office revenues of $33 million.
In Japan, Detective Conan’s 12th theatrical film, Full Score of Fear, was released on April 19, and has been number one
at the Japanese box office for two consecutive weeks.
