M6 in Exclusive Negotiations to Acquire New-Media Company

NEUILLY, March 10: M6 Group has said that it is in exclusive talks to acquire 100 percent of Cyréalis, which operates a range of websites that attracted 5.5 million visitors in January, predominantly men aged between 15 and 35.

Cyréalis’s primary websites are clubic.com, about technology; jeuxvideo.fr, focused on video games; and neteco.com, about new-media businesses. It also operates the price-comparison site achetezfacile.com.

The acquisition will complement M6’s online activities; the French broadcaster’s websites reach 5.7 million monthly unique visitors. M6’s Internet offering encompasses specialized websites linked to the group’s TV channels, e-commerce websites, such as Mistergooddeal acquired in 2005, and community websites.
