SCI FI Acquires Jericho

NEW YORK/LOS ANGELES, January 24: NBC Universal-owned SCI FI
Channel has picked up the off-network cable rights to seasons one and two of
the drama series Jericho from CBS
Television Distribution.

Jericho will make its
SCI FI debut with a four-episode marathon on February 11 beginning at 7 p.m. It
will start airing in its regular Monday 10 p.m. timeslot on February 18. The
series will be simulcast in HD on SCI FI HD.

Following Jericho’s
debut on SCI FI, CBS Television Network will air its February 12 premiere of
the second season at 10 p.m.

Jericho follows the
events of a town that survives a nearby nuclear attack. The peaceful Kansas
town plunges into chaos, its residents isolated and wondering if they’re the
only Americans left alive.

Jericho is a
gripping science fiction series that SCI FI Channel is excited to add to our
schedule,” said Thomas Vitale, SCI FI Channel’s senior VP of programming and
original movies. “Thanks to the passion and persistence of its loyal viewers
who saved this program from being canceled, new viewers can now experience this
show for the first time on the SCI FI Channel while CBS continues the story in
its second season run starting this February.”
