Two New Appointments at 9 Story

TORONTO, January 16: The Canadian production and animation
outfit 9 Story Entertainment has named Jill Fraser as the VP of business
affairs and Krista Barron as the manager of production finance.

Fraser will be responsible for legal matters and business
affairs for all areas of 9 Story’s operations. With 20 years of experience as
an entertainment lawyer, Fraser has worked for companies including Alliance
Atlantis Communications and Nelvana.

As the manager of production finance, Barron will be
responsible for administration and certifications relating to tax credits, film
agency and other domestic funding on all 9 Story productions. Most recently,
Barron worked for Ontario Media Development Corporation, where she served as
the acting business officer for the Ontario Film and Television Tax Credit.

Both positions report directly to Steven Jarosz, the
co-founder, senior VP and COO of 9 Story.

“As 9 Story continues to expand into new business ventures
we are pleased to welcome Jill Fraser and Krista Baron to our senior management
team,” said Jarosz. “We have enjoyed working with Jill over the past five years
as our external legal council, so it was a natural transition for us to bring
her in house. Jill’s extensive legal expertise and industry knowledge and
Krista’s combined agency and private sector experience will be a valuable
contribution to the company. Both Jill and Krista have had distinguishing
careers in the entertainment industry and we are thrilled to have them join 9
Story.”
