New CEO for TV Prima

PRAGUE, January 8: The Czech Republic’s TV Prima has tapped Marek
Singer as its new CEO, succeeding Aleksandras Cesnavicius, who has been in
charge since Modern Times Group acquired 50 percent of the broadcaster’s parent
company, GES Media Holding, in November 2005.

Singer spent the first eight years of his career with Unilever
in Europe and the U.S. before joining Masterfoods Europe for a four-year stint.
For the last two years, he has been with KMV—Carlsbad Mineral Waters,
with responsibility for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Singer will take up his position as CEO of TV Prima in March
2008. The broadcaster, launched in 1993 as the first privately owned commercial
TV channel in the Czech Republic, has a 21.9-percent commercial share among
viewers 15 and older.

“Marek Singer’s extensive corporate strategy development experience
and successful track record as a commercial director make him the perfect fit
for the role at TV Prima,” said Jørgen Madsen, the chairman of the board of
directors at TV Prima. “His knowledge of regional and international consumer
goods companies positions him well to understand the relationship with key
advertisers and the importance of branding in the evolution of TV Prima.”
