SevenOne to Market New ProSieben Movie

MUNICH, November 15:
SevenOne International will distribute ProSieben’s new antiwar-themed movie The
Bridge, starring Franka Potente.

The Bridge has just finished filming in Latvia under the
direction of Wolfgang Panzer. The movie is a modern remake of Gregor
Dorfmeister’s autobiographical novel. Potente (The Bourne Identity, Blow and Run, Lola, Run) plays a teacher involved in a secret relationship
with one of her male students. She later tries to save him from certain death
when he is drafted into the Wehrmacht for a last-stand battle. Starring
alongside Potente are newcomers François Goeske (Treasure Island), Robert Höller (Rage) and Florian Heppert (Die wilden Kerle).

International. “With a superb cast, a contemporary treatment and a modern
adaptation, ProSieben has come up with an incredibly gripping anti-war drama
event. Based on a true story, the movie’s anti-war theme has lost none of its
relevance."
