BET Networks Bolsters Entertainment Division

LOS ANGELES, September 5: BET Networks has announced several
key hires and promotions in its entertainment division, following a strong
summer slate featuring five new original shows and leading up to the launch of
ten new series and specials this fall.

Brett King has been named the new senior VP of scripted
programming for the network, charged with overseeing all scripted programming
and straight-to-DVD projects in both comedy and drama. He will also develop new
scripted programming for primetime and all dayparts, and is responsible for
approving writers, directors and creative personnel and all stories, scripts,
cuts and episodic budgets.

Robyn Lattaker-Johnson has been promoted from VP of development
to senior VP of development. She will oversee the day-to-day production and
development of all reality programming for BET, and will act as a liaison with
the creative community. She will also take pitches from producers and talent,
package shows, develop show formats and oversee the series from concept to
creation.

In her role as VP of talent, Audrey LaCatis Onyeike will
oversee the BET talent department, booking celebrities for the network’s
programming.

As the new VP of development, Sitarah Pendelton will be
responsible for overall creative and development of the network’s new and
current reality programs.

Former director of talent Melanie Massie has been promoted
to VP of talent, responsible for BET’s talent scouting. She will work closely
with development on attaching talent to various programming deals.

Shaun Williams will take over the role of VP of business
operations, working closely with senior programming/production and finance
management to develop long-term strategic plans. To ensure consistency with the
network’s senior management’s short- and long-term operating and business
goals, Williams will take further responsibility for reviewing production and
programming strategies and policies.

All executives will be based in Los Angeles, except for
LaCatis Onyeike, who will be based in New York.
