Mediatoon Secures Spanish Deal for Animated Series

PARIS, June 6: Mediatoon
has licensed its 40×30-minute 2-D and CGI animated series Time Jam-Valerian
and Laureline, to TV3 Catalunya in
Spain.

The series will soon air
on France 3 and Club RTL Belgium. The futuristic, manga-like series was
co-produced with Europacorp, the Japonese studio Satelight, and Dargaud Marina.
The series is about two time-travelers named Valerian and Laureline who are in
search of the Earth. They seem to be the only human agents in a galaxy where
the nightmarish Vlagos are plotting to seize power. Valerian and Laureline
eventually discover the existence of a time portal that may be the key to
finding Earth again.
