FremantleMedia Enterprises Announces Appointments for Asia-Pacific

LONDON, June 4: FremantleMedia
Enterprises (FME) has announced a series of appointments and promotions within
its ancillary rights business across Asia Pacific.

Malti Peplow has been
appointed to the newly created position of director of sponsorship and
interactive in Asia, where she will report to Jon Penn, the VP in Asia-Pacific,
who is based in Sydney. Based in Singapore, Peplow will be responsible for
exploiting FME’s many strong brands across the region, which include Indonesian
Idol
, Singapore Idol, Indian Idol, The Price Is Right, Family
Feud
, The Mission and many others, across consumer products,
telephony and voting, live events, interactive and wireless and sponsorship.
Additionally, Peplow will focus on driving the development of advertiser-funded
television and digital programs, developing the roll-out of participation TV
and establishing a gaming and lottery licensing business in the region. Peplow
joins FME from MTV Networks Asia Pacific, where she was the senior manager of
content and production for regional digital media and was responsible for
spearheading the execution and delivery of digital content for MTV, Nickelodeon
and VH1.

In Sydney, FME has also appointed Ben Liebmann to
the newly created role of VP in Australia and New Zealand. In this role, based
in Sydney, Liebmann will oversee FME’s brand licensing, sponsorship,
interactive and mobile businesses, reporting to Jon Penn. Previously, Liebmann
served as the director of Opera Interactive, an interactive media and marketing
group. There, he was responsible for the development of new business
opportunities across interactive media and marketing, participation
broadcasting and wireless entertainment.

Olivia Arnold has been promoted to the manager of
licensing and sponsorship for Australia and New Zealand and will assist
Liebmann in enhancing the division’s sponsorship and brand licensing business.
Arnold joined FME in 2004 to support the U.K. licensing team before moving to
Australia in 2006. Also joining Liebmann’s team in Melbourne is Emma Gordon,
who has been promoted to the editor of www.neighbours.com, the successful
website developed and managed by FME to support the long-running drama series Neighbours. In addition to the website, Gordon
also handles all international publicity requests for Neighbours.
