EM.TV to Offload Kids’ Division

UNTERFÖHRING, May 22: EM.TV is repositioning itself to focus
more on its sports business and is currently looking for a buyer for its
children’s and youth content divisions, EM.Entertainment and Junior.TV.

No timetable has been given for the planned sale, with a
company press release stating only that the selling process would start “in the
near future.” Werner E. Klatten, the chairman of the management board of EM.TV,
stated: “We will act speedily but with the appropriate care and caution. We are
not under time pressure but wish to achieve a solution which does justice to
all the relevant participants—namely shareholders, employees and
customers.”

The announcement came as EM.TV released its Q1 2007 results.
The company’s revenues rose to 60.3 million euros, with a profit of 3.1 million
euros, versus last year’s 500,000 euros loss. The sports
segment—consisting of DSF, the PLAZAMEDIA-Group and
Sport1—delivered an 18.7-percent revenue increase to 54.7 million euros,
with a profit of 7.3 million euros. Entertainment segment revenues, however,
fell to 5.6 million euros from 13.9 million euros, with a loss of 200,000
euros, as compared with the profit of 8.1 million euros last year.

Without the entertainment segments, EM.TV is targeting 2007
revenues of 215 million euros; with EM.Entertainment and Junior.TV included,
this target was 250 million euros.
